This was so exciting!

Mom and Dadinator had actually agreed to let her go alone on the best trip ever. It only got better when she got to pack a horse too. Sure everyone had groaned and complained over all the forms that had to be filled out to allow an unaccompanied minor to go on a cruise through international waters on top of the livestock forms that were already a requirement, but it was done and the griping had been 110% worth it.

She had already said her goodbyes and been smothered in all the hugs she could handle when she set off from the Louisville International Airport. Now it was just her, Gully, and a nice staff member that was to be her acting guardian while on ship.

"This is going to be so fun! Ohmygodyouaregoingtoloveitwearegoingtohaesomuchfuntogether
youdon'tevenknow!" A faint sweat broke out on her brow as she failed to stop for a breath when she really needed one. She couldn't help it. She just couldn't contain all this...this!

Gully, being of firm opinions about haste having no place in his life, let the verbal avalanche roll over and past him to the attendant whose smile was a touch worried as Lexi gasped for air. He had no problems with having such a young, hyperactive, rider, none he hadn't already fixed when she had started riding him last year. This was an interesting trip to him too, he just took it in quieter than the girl as he led her up the gangplank by his figure eight halter.

A small hand pressed ineffectually against his chest. "Oh, slow down a sec. Gully. We should make sure we take the first step on together." Lexi was giving him an expectant look with her baby blues. A look that gave him pause, hooves right at the slim gap between the plank and the hold of the ship.

"On three now. One. Two.Three!"


Gully rolled his eyes as he followed her lead tapping the deck with his right hoof as her right sandal did the same. Sometimes you had to humor the little ones. It made them much easier to handle later.
