"Why am I so buuuuuuurrned?"

The moan came from an otherwise lifeless Lexi draped limpet-like about Gully's neck. It had been raining for what felt like all day and she still ended up looking like a freshly boiled lobster. Which would have tasted great right then because, to her inexperienced eye, nothing was looking remotely edible. This was a tropical island, shouldn't there be a coconut in every tree?

Now that they were on land Gully was in no hurry to move away from their beaching point. He had done all the swimming for both of them and he had felt entitled to kicking back in the little bit of pure sun that morning. As a result the pair had lazed away the only dry hours with the pony-corn splayed out belly down, a girl buried in his mane for warmth. When it started drizzling Gully had endured the bemoaning by turning a deaf ear to it. Lexi was just tired and grumpy. He would have been too if he wasn't still intent on catching a smidgen more sleep before it became too wet to comfortably doze out in the open.

After finishing this I thought something was missing. Halfway through the next drawing I stopped to wonder where Gully's horn went. Traditional drawings can be so unforgiving. Where is the cut tool, blend, and undo, reality? Where?

I'm bad at watching movies so I kept myself glued in place for a way too long Indiana Jones marathon yesterday by churning out some shipwreck drawings to move these two along. Still undecided on where they are heading other than to a camp since Lexi can't rough it on her own by any stretch of the imagination. From where they landed it's about equal distance to both the mangrove and oasis camps.
