Out of Time

"Tsk." Not for the first time since rising with the sun and sounds of wildlife Miss T. made that simple, yet dismissive tongue click. The appaloosa stallion drooping to sleep at her side bobbed briefly to attention at the sharp sound, but was soon dozing again.

For once without her signature glasses the woman was just as unreadable. If it weren't for the negative reaction she had any time the fine ladies on their palfreys milled in too close it would have been impossible to see her annoyance. All too often those fine boned horses were of the female variety and it just didn't sit right to have them drifting under Goose's nose. He was a well behaved sort, still, you don't tempt those sorts of things.

All this fuss was over nothing. The mandatory portraits could have been handled more swiftly if they had all been straightened out into some form of line instead of sending out a man on foot to wander backward and forward through the herd of horses and humans looking for the next on the list. The hopeful question "Picture?" was met with indifference when it finally came.

I'll try to get a costume reference together later since there are a lot of parts to the clothes and tack. Went with the theme of halfbreed for this, not quite native, but not completely western.
